What I do

Copywriting and editing

I write clear, concise, accurate copy that is to the purpose and fits the tone of your business –  whether it is for your blog, an article for a client newsletter, an opinion piece, copy for a brochure, marketing material or web content.

All content is evaluated for SEO and social media sharing potential.

Have ideas but not the time to craft them into a publishable piece? Let me do the crafting and I’m also a whizz at editing and polishing copy that has been written in-house.

Stacey is a highly knowledgeable real estate writer (writes about other things too!) and was formerly Regional Editor for Estates Gazette. I have always enjoyed reading her articles which are hallmarked by insight and a purposeful clarity that leaves you more enlightened as a reader.

Content strategy

Planning a campaign? I can help with your content strategy, suggest ideas for relevant and engaging content, different formats and platforms.

Website auditing and edits

Is it time for a website refresh? Want to make sure your web content is firing on all cylinders?

I can undertake an audit and edit your existing content – words, images and video – to ensure it’s reaching its SEO potential, is engaging and effective.

I’ll also devise a strategy for future content.

Copy clinics

If you want tips and guidance on how you and your staff can write more effective content, I undertake copy clinics either individually or with small groups.

An experienced conference chair (MIPIM, MIPIM UK, LREF & EG Question Time) my aim for any event is to generate an interesting discussion for the audience by getting the best out of the panellists.

I’ll work closely with you to establish goals for the session and I can work with different formats such as web-based systems like Slid.o for taking questions from the floor.

The things Stacey’s done for me have been engaging and interesting for the audiences and helped me develop thinking and progress along agendas for clients.

The built environment was my stomping ground as a journalist for 20 years and as a result, I have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and sector.

It’s my niche but not exclusively so – I recently undertook some work on a website for a company selling loose leaf tea – I’m a writer and editor first and foremost.
